You will be expected to abide by the information and rules presented here if you apply and are accepted into the Virtual Dealers Room as a Boskone vendor. You will be further required to be compliant with Boskone’s Code of Conduct. Please note that this FAQ is a living document and will be updated periodically to reflect new information and deadlines. Where and when is Boskone 58?
Boskone 58 is a virtual edition of Boskone and will be online February 12-14, 2021.
What is a Virtual Dealers Room at Boskone?
The Virtual Boskone 58 event site includes an Exhibitor and Sponsor section that feature pages (aka tables) for organizations, people, and groups who would like to display their wares virtually for fans to visit, enjoy, and arrange for purchases. These will be on the Exhibitor page and will link to individual pages that can be personalized.
Once you purchase your page space you’ll receive a form to fill out that our data entry and web design team will use to create your Exhibitor or Sponsor page. Here is a list of what you can include on your page:
- A graphic logo
- Descriptive text
- Pictures
- Live links
- Social media and contact information
- Videos
- Live chat
How do I start my application to be a vendor?
A payment link is at the end of this FAQ. Please do not skip ahead to pay until you have read this FAQ entirely! Once payment is received you’ll be sent an email with a link to a form to fill out and an email to send pictures to.
Pictures? I need pictures?
Pictures are the primary way people will know what you sell. We are asking for 3-5 pictures or images to include on your table page that can liven up your presence and participation in the virtual Exhibit Hall. Images should be no larger than 700 x 400 pixels, in .jpeg, .png, or .gif format, should be “G” rated, and related to the business applying for a table page. The email for pictures and other materials will be sent to you, along with directions on how to title your pictures, after payment is received.
If I have questions about Dealer issues, who do I talk to?
Please contact us at dealers@boskone.org
What are the size of the spaces and what will space cost?
Since this year is a virtual edition table space size is not a concern. The cost to participate is $35: $25 for a Boskone Virtual Membership plus $10 for a Virtual Dealers Room space.
What does the Commonwealth of Massachusetts require from me to be a dealer at Boskone?
Since this is a virtual convention and sales are not conducted through the Boskone 58 event site any sales conducted will be under the laws of the state in which you are doing business. We encourage you to be compliant with your state tax requirements.
What will the hours of the Dealers Room be at con?
Since Boskone is a virtual event this year there are no mandatory hours. We encourage dealers to attend any of the scheduled events you are interested in. In addition, we recommend adding your “hours of operation” to your Dealer Form so that members know when dealers will have staff monitoring the table page for chatting and conversation.
When do applications close and when do acceptances go out?
Applications will close on January 1, 2021. Acceptances will go out on an ongoing basis.
