  • Do I have to pay for a Board Game Arena membership in addition to my Boskone 58 membership?
    • No. You can create a free BGA account allows you to play games on BGA.
      • BGA does offer a paid membership option that allows out to blown membership to start games on their site. But you do not need the paid version to play games at Boskone.
  • How will Boskone 58 gamers communicate during the convention?
    • Zoom. A Zoom link will be posted on the item in the schedule that will take you to the gaming page. From there, for each scheduled game, there will be multiple games. If you don’t know how to play or you aren’t familiar with the particular controls for that game, not to worry. Teachers will be on hand and there will be breakout rooms for each game on zoom so each game can talk among themselves independently. It’s also possible to chat via typing
      on BGA, but it’s slow.
  • Will teaching games be ranked?
    • No. Players who know how to play and are already familiar with BGA will have the option of starting a ranked game.
  • Do I need to share my BGA user ID with anyone?
    • Yes, please share with Boskone 58 Gaming coordinator, Bill Todd (nagash3060). Otherwise he will not know how to find you.
  • Do I need to friend Boskone attendees on BGA?
    • We recommend that you do as it makes it much easier to start a game without having to worry about random people jumping in.
